My photographic style comes from an interest I had in my twenties of street and documentary photography. I captured most of my imagery on film through analogue and polaroid cameras made famous by the Lomography movement. Therefore my style of wedding and family photography is occasionally posed, where required, however the majority of my photography is impulsive and documentary in style, aiming to record all those elements on the day that are fleeting. I will capture all the details, quirks and interactions that are completely individual to you, your day and your family.
I obtained a bachelors degree in photography in 2001. After taking a little time out to go travelling I then moved to London to begin a ten year career in picture research and photographer representation. My first job was working for the photojournalism based agency ‘Network Photographers’ which opened my eyes to the hard hitting topics of photojournalism.
I then moved on to a celebrity based agency ‘Eyevine’ before moving to Dubai for a year to work on the picture desk of Ahlan! magazine. Returning to London in 2006 I then took up the position of magazine sales representative at one of the world’s leading photo agencies, Camera Press until the birth of our first son Stanley. Now with the addition of our second son Rufus I am now ready to take on my dream of providing my own unique style of photography to the couples, families and businesses of London and the South East.
